How to update your PMS claims address

Modified on Thu, 24 Sep at 3:15 PM

Applies to: UK veterinary practices submitting claims to Perfect Pet or Now Pet Insurance

What's changing

Perfect Pet and Now Pet Insurance claims are now processed through Wisentic Pets, an automated claims platform. To make use of this, practices need to update the claims address used in their practice management system (PMS) so claims are routed through Wisentic to the insurance company, instead of the previous address.

Once updated, claims submitted for Perfect Pet and Now Pet Insurance will arrive complete and structured from the start, with no change to how your team submits a claim day-to-day.

New claims address

Update the claims address for each insurance company separately:

Insurance company
New claims address
Perfect Pet
perfectpet@wisentic.com
Now Pet Insurance
nowpet@wisentic.com

Use these addresses for all new claims going forward. Existing claims already in progress under the old address don't need to be resubmitted.

How to update the address in your PMS

The exact steps depend on which PMS you use – menu names, locations and available options vary significantly between systems. The steps below are a general guide; if a step doesn't match what you see in your system, please reach out to your PMS provider.

  1. Open your PMS and go to Insurance or Third-party providers settings (sometimes under Admin or Practice settings instead, depending on your system).
  2. Find the existing entry for Perfect Pet or Now Pet Insurance.
  3. Update the claims submission address to the corresponding address above.
  4. Save your changes.
  5. Done.

If you can't find this setting, or your PMS doesn't allow you to edit it directly, contact your PMS provider's support team and ask them to update the claims routing address on your behalf.

What happens next

Once your address is updated:

  • Claims for Perfect Pet and Now Pet Insurance are submitted the same way as before – no change to your team's workflow
  • Claims are automatically structured and checked for completeness before reaching the insurance company
  • Faster settlements, with fewer delays caused by missing or incomplete information
  • There's no cost to your practice to connect to or use the new workflow
